We spent the last few months completely renovating our backyard, and it feels like an absolute dream that it is finally complete! The very first time we looked at our house, we walked around back and when we saw the yard, we were immediately sold. We dreamt of having a big outdoor living area where we could easily spend just as much time outside as we would inside. And as we were finishing the hardscaping and landscaping, we knew we needed to find the perfect outdoor furniture to really complete the space and make it a place where we could comfortably gather and hang out with family and friends. We love traveling to Greece and we knew we wanted our space to feel like were hanging out in our very own mediterranean villa, so we had very specific ideas of the type of furniture and yard design we were looking for. When we found Teak Warehouse, we immediately knew they had every single piece to match exactly what we were looking for. We really wanted a combination of teak furniture with white cushions, and it was surprisingly difficult to find at an affordable price. Since we live in a smaller home, we didn’t have room for a dedicated dining room inside, but we love being able to host and have friends and family over, so we knew we wanted to transform this outdoor space into a dining area. We were looking for a table that we could keep small for the days when it’s just the three of us, but could also expand to fit more people when we were inviting friends or family over. We were so excited about the Capri Rectangle Double Extension table, because we could choose the perfect size for our space, and we ended up going with the 68>88>108″ x W39″ x H29″ size. It is so easy to extend, and it has a really unique design where you can actually extend the table to three different lengths to accommodate the exact number of guests you need to fit. The table leafs fold down and fit underneath the table when you don’t have it extended, so you don’t have to find a place to store them when the table is in the smaller size, which is so nice. We absolutely love the look of it and it’s designed to withstand the outdoors while still looking beautiful. There’s also an umbrella hole in the center, so you can easily add and umbrella for shade.
Teak Warehouse has so many beautiful dining chairs, but since we have a toddler, we wanted ones that were easy to wash off and wouldn’t show drips or stains, and these Gazzoni Reclaimed Teak Dining Chairs are absolutely perfect. The seat and backrest are made from woven rope, and the design is absolutely perfect. They are not only comfortable but they’re also so stylish and perfect for the outdoors because they’re made from reclaimed teak and weather-resistant materials.

We also added some plants to these pots, Brooklyn Concrete Planter Round Low and the Brooklyn Concrete Planter Round Tall, to really round out the space. It’s pretty impressive how much potted plants can really help transform your yard. They are made from a unique blend of concrete and fiberglass/resin composite. The concrete gives the planters a rustic aesthetic, while the fiberglass and resin ensure their longevity and the combination makes them both lightweight and sturdy.

Another before and after of the backyard
Looking at these before and afters actually puts me into shock, haha. I cannot believe how far our home has come. We actually cried when our Teak Warehouse furniture arrived, because it’s SO perfect for our space and exactly what what we were looking for! It felt like afters years of hard work, our backyard dreams were finally coming true. When we were working on the renovation design for our house, we specifically added this area back here to be a California room. We wanted to be able to wake up and come back here and watch our daughter play, work from the couch while looking out at our magnolia tree, and hang out with friends and play games back here late into the night.
And after the interior renovations were complete, we lived here for about six months before we had any furniture back here, and as a result, we hardly came back here at all. We added the Block Concrete Round Side Table to go next to the sofa, so we could easily have a place to set our drinks, books, snacks, or flowers (basically whatever we’re feeling like for that day), and we love how it goes so well with the concrete planters. It’s 19″ so it’s the perfect height and the cylindrical shape gives it a beautiful modern look. It’s very sturdy and the perfect accent piece for our yard.

We added the Teak Sun Double Lounger to go next to the sofa and chairs, because we wanted a space that could a little more versatile. The double lounger is amazing, because it can serve as a day bed, so we could lay down, or you can lift up the seat back and relax in the sun, watch our daughter play, or kick our feet up and get some work done. We love how you can lift the back to multiple levels for the perfect height and you can raise them on either side, so sometimes we sit next to each other and other times we lift one of each side and sit facing each other. It also has wheels, which makes it so easy to move around the yard. It’s so versatile and the perfect piece for us to be able to hang out and relax next to each other.
And in our opinion, you can’t hang out outside at night without having a fire for both ambiance and for making s’mores, haha. So we added the Contempo Round Concrete Fire Pit. It’s stylish and functional and it’s designed so that it can either be connected to a propane storage tank or your main gas line. The interior of the fire pit contains lava rocks, which creates a really pretty look and also helps distribute the heat evenly, and it comes with a cover, so you can cover the rocks when you’re not using it. The fire pit truly makes the space feel so cozy and inviting.

Our backyard has truly become our happy space. All of the furniture from Teak Warehouse is comfortable and makes it such a fun and inviting place to hang out in. We love having people over and eating dinner at the table, playing games, watching movies on the couch, and sitting around the fire pit making s’mores.
