Between the Broadway shows, hustle and bustle of Times Square, and incredible views of the concrete jungle, New York City is basically a photographer’s dream location. We’re strong believers that you can’t go to New York without sitting and enjoying a Broadway play, but we also love running around and taking pictures that capture all of the incredible beauty the city has to offer. Since we’re always on the lookout for the best picture spots, here are our favorite spots to snap an Instagram photo:
Brooklyn Bridge: I love love love walking across the Brooklyn Bridge, because there are so many good views of the city! Be sure to get there early in the morning, so there aren’t as many people there and you will feel like you have the whole bridge all to yourself. Pro tip: grab pizza from Juliana’s or Grimaldi’s once you get to the Brooklyn side.

The Oculus: I’d been dying to make it to The Oculus Building, since I first saw it had opened. I love how clean it looks and the incredible view it gives you. Since we were there during Christmas time, they had a mini Christmas market going on, but they have various pop-up shops throughout the year and the whole thing is an indoor mall! The architecture is amazing and the view outside is equally as incredible.
Top of The Rock: Top of the Rock is probably my favorite spot in the entire city. It’s kind of like a little New York quiet spot. You get these incredible views and feel like you’re floating on top of the city, and it’s truly magical. One time we’ll come back, and I’ll spend a whole day up here just taking pictures and watching people’s excitement.

Pietro NoLita: Millennial pink anyone? Pietro NoLita has the cutest little pink benches just outside of their restaurant and then the inside is completely covered in pink too. It’s basically a pink lover’s dream. Hop inside and enjoy some avocado toast after you’ve snapped some shots outside.
Tiny’s: Tiny’s is another millennial pink spot for sure. It us the cutest little pink house situated just in the middle of two other classic New York City style buildings, which makes it even more picture perfect.
Flat Iron Building: The Flat Iron building is one of those spots that just kind of blows your mind. It’s definitely an architectural masterpiece. And if you wait long enough for the light to change, you can catch all of the iconic yellow taxis driving by making it the perfect New York City moment! After you’ve snapped a few shots, walk across the street and enjoy some fries and a concrete from Shake Shack.
Central Park: Not only is Central Park the perfect place for an afternoon bike ride and picnic, but it’s also so photogenic. Go to the Great Lawn, Bethesda Fountain, or the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir for some of the most beautiful shots.
DUMBO: After you’ve walked across the Brooklyn Bridge, go down under the Manhattan Bridge and snap some more photos! There’s a beautiful view of the city in the background, and if you go to just the right spot, you can see the Empire State Building right between the Manhattan Bridge.
On a Rooftop: Find a rooftop to take some pictures on while you’re in New York, because those views of the city are unlike anywhere else. You are completely surrounded by skyscrapers and it’s just such a fun and different angle to see the city from. Rooftop bars like The Crown, 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge, and The Roof of Viceroy Hotel all have sweeping views of the city, so you can grab a drink and some food, chat, and enjoy the view. And in the winter, you can sit in your very own igloo overlooking the city at 230 Fifth.
