Musée de L’Orangerie:
Part of what I love so much about Paris is its rich art history. You can’t go to Paris without visiting the most famous museum in the world, The Louvre. However, because it’s the most famous, it’s also the most crowded, which makes it pretty hard to get the perfect Instagram shot. After you’ve visited the Louvre, head on over to Musée de l’Orangerie. It’s much smaller and less crowded and Monet’s water lilies will add the most beautiful accent to your photo. Go as soon as it opens so you can get a good shot and then sit and enjoy it while there aren’t as many people around.

Le Palais Royal:
Formerly a royal palace, the striped columns in the courtyard of Le Palais Royal make for a fun and uniquely Parisian photo spot. You may not be able to see the Eiffel Tower from there, but it’s a beautiful courtyard and you can have a lot of fun experimenting with different angles and poses.

Thanks for the great article as I’ll be visiting Paris again this summer. I post street musicians to my Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/dgjamz/ and would like to ask if you recommend any places in Paris where street musicians are sure to be found. Best wishes on your future travels and blogs!
Ah so fun! Paris in the summer is such a beautiful time! That’s amazing! We don’t have a lot of recommendations, but there are often a lot of musicians and street performers in Montmartre!
I love Paris. I had visited the city recently and seen almost all the places
Same! It’s one of the most magical cities! I hope you had an incredible time!
Love the photos in your website! Who takes them when both of you are in them? I assume some were taken by a drone and some with the cam on a tripod. What about when you’re in a busy place? Do you hand out your cam to a stranger? When I do this, the pics are usually disappointing. Oh, and that person might run off with the camera!
Thanks so much Denden! We use a tripod to take most of our photos together, and we normally wake up early to avoid the crowds! We’re never too far away from our camera, so we’re not too worried about anyone running off with it. If we hand the camera to a stranger, we make sure to set up the shot how we want it and try to clearly communicate what we want to them, and then we’re much more likely to get a shot we like. But normally we use a tripod, because it’s easier to set it up exactly how we want it that way! Also, drones aren’t allowed in Paris, so don’t plan on using on there 🙂
Ugh such a DREAM!!! Also your outfit during the day on the carousel is the perfect Parisian outfit EVER! xo
