There are so many fun and family-friendly things to do in Vegas, and combine that with the perfectly warm weather, and it makes it the perfect place to go for a spring or summertime getaway! While we were there, we were walking around and both looked at each other and said, “I almost forgot how much fun Las Vegas is! And there really are so many fun things to do here even with a baby.” The best part is that there is truly something for everyone in Las Vegas. Whether you’re looking for a girls weekend getaway, a family vacation, or a celebration, Vegas is the perfect place to go! Here are our top 8 family-friendly things to do in Las Vegas, Nevada:

8 Family-friendly things to do in las vegas:

Hike Red Rock Canyon:

We went to Red Rock Canyon with Pink Jeep Tours! Red Rock Canyon is a National Conservation Area just outside of Vegas, about 30 minutes from the Strip, so it’s a really easy day trip during your time in Vegas. You can go on a tour or explore yourself! There are so many cool rock formations to see while you’re there and there’s a 13-mile scenic drive. You could spend hours hiking around exploring, and it’s such a great way to get outside with kids and do something a little different from typical Vegas. Pink Jeep Tours picked us up from our hotel and dropped us off at the end of our tour, which made the whole experience really simple. They also offer tours of the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Valley of Fire, and more if you’re looking for another day trip option!

Visit the Mandalay Bay Aquarium:

The Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay is such a fun family-friendly activity in Vegas! The aquarium has more than 2,000 animals! There are so many exotic sharks and endangered sea turtles, which makes it a really fun and unique experience. Our daughter loved watching the sharks and fish swim by so much that she had her very first melt down when it was time for us to leave. It’s not too big so it’s pretty easy to do the whole thing in a few hours making it a great spot for a morning activity. Book your tickets in advance, so you don’t have to worry about waiting in line or reserving your time when you get there. It’s open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm every day.

Eat Brunch at Mon Ami Gabi:

Make sure to make a reservation for brunch at Mon Ami Gabi during your time in Vegas! It’s in the Paris Las Vegas hotel, so it’s a fun experience, because you get to eat under the Eiffel Tower! The chef is from Paris and the entire menu is French, so it really feels like an authentic Parisian experience. I got the banana cinnamon crepe and it was honestly the best crepe I’ve ever had in my life. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious! And try to get a seat outside for the best views.

Watch the Fountains of Bellagio:

The Fountains of Bellagio is an absolutely iconic Las Vegas experience! The show happens every 30 minutes from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Monday-Friday and goes every 30 minutes from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm and then every 15 minutes from 7:00 pm until midnight on Saturday and Sunday and on holidays. Even if you’ve seen it before, the shows are unique and it’s always fun to see it both during the day and at night. And it’s completely free! Before or after the show, be sure to head inside to walk around the free Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens. The gardens and installations are absolutely stunning and they change the exhibit every season, so even if you’ve been before, it’s worth visiting again to see the new displays!

Attend a Cirque du Soleil Show:

I’ve been coming to Las Vegas for years and going to a Cirque du Soleil show with my family is by far my favorite thing to do! I don’t think I’ve ever been to Vegas without going to one. My personal favorites are the “Beatles LOVE” and “O,” but honestly they’re all incredible! I am always blown away by the insane talent and skill of the performers and they do such a great job engaging with the audience. Plus, it was so fun to go to a live performance again! There are two new shows coming to Vegas this year and the “Mad Apple” one about New York looks absolutely incredible! Something to note: children under 5 years old are only allowed at Mystère, so that’s the one we went to this time with our one-year old and she was mesmerized. It was so fun to take her and watch her experience it!

Play at Container Park Downtown:

Container Park Downtown is an open-air shopping center made out of shipping containers in Las Vegas. There are shops and restaurants and in the center is a playground with a tree house for kids! It’s a great spot to spend the morning and let littles run around while you enjoy a quick bite, some shopping, or a coffee. They also have free concerts there! Downtown Container Park Downtown is just down the street from Fremont Street, so it’s a great place to stop on your way there!

Go to a Golden Knights Hockey Game:

We went to a Vegas Golden Knights Hockey game at T-Mobile Arena while we were in Vegas, and it was such a fun experience! You can tell the fans are super dedicated and everyone was all decked out in Golden Knights gear, which just made the whole vibe so fun! Sporting events are perfect for both kids and adults, because the game keeps everyone entertained and event food is always a hit for the whole family.

Eat at Eataly Vegas:

There are a few different Eatalys around the United States and they are all incredible! Eataly Vegas is such a fun place to come and enjoy with the whole family. You can pick up authentic Italian gnocchi or chocolate from the grocery section, eat at one of the delicious Italian restaurants, or even take a cooking class! I think it would be so fun to do a cooking class as a family here while you’re in Vegas. There’s also traditional Italian gelato and desserts like cannoli, so everyone is guaranteed to leave happy

where to stay:

Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino:

Mandalay Bay is located on the Las Vegas Strip, which makes it really convenient to get around during your stay. The rooms are spacious and there are room options with one to four rooms, so you can find the space that works best for you and your family. There is so much to do within the hotel – shops, restaurants, shows, the Shark Reef Aquarium, etc. Mandalay Bay has a huge pool and beach area (it’s 11-acres), so you can cool off and enjoy some time in the sun. There is a wave pool and a lazy river so kids and adults can play and relax. And you can even rent your own cabana. There are also three pool bars, so you can enjoy a drink and some food by the pool. Mandalay Bay is very family-friendly and a great option for your stay in Vegas!

Book your stay at Mandalay Bay here!

A few other family-friendly spots worth looking into are Seven Magic Mountains, the Neon Museum (which we’ve heard is better for older kids), M&M’s World, and the SlotZilla zipline on Fremont street (fun for teenagers). Vegas has so many fun family-friendly things to do! We can’t wait to go back and experience even more!
